Compassion Fatigue & Burnout

More than half of massage therapists leave the field within their first three to five years. More than half of mental health therapists report burnout this year. Nearly 40 percent of nurses plan to leave the profession by 2029. Different fields, same pattern: the work of sustained, close contact with other peoples pain has a cost, and that cost is rarely named until someone is already deciding whether to quit. This workshop names that cost directly. Participants will learn to recognize the well-known signs of burnout and compassion fatigue, along with the less obvious ones that rarely make it onto a standard checklist. We'll look at what actually drives it, both the individual patterns and the structural conditions of the work itself, and build a full set of tools: what to use in the moment, what to use between sessions, and what to build ahead of time so the first…
